This my new rapid fire concept. Something fast and full of facts that will help you study for your FP-C, CCP-C, or CCEMT-P exams. Topic today…Neurogenic Trauma Emergencies..ENJOY!
The one and only Coy Barton talks about his way of managing his per-arrest patient. By utilizing time great time management and using his little Pearls, you will be sure to smoke your next ACLS megacode.
Coy discusses that with the new emphasis on ACLS and the AHA stressing good and constant CPR you should be able to rotate compressors and do rhythm analysis in no time at all. By having the airway man check a pulse at 1:55 into that CPR cycle you can confirm good pulse producing compressions as well as identify early where a good pulse was felt once compressions stop to do a rhythm check. This will hopefully eliminate the classic paramedic expression “I think a feel a pulse??!!”.
Great stuff Coy!!
